About Me

Originally from Ottawa, Ontario, Chris is a Canadian guitarist and composer. The beginnings of Chris’s musical experience start with the electric guitar. Chris received his early musical education taking guitar lessons as a child and developed a profound relationship with the instrument as music captivated his imagination and set the direction of his future. Chris’s passion for music inspired him to study Recording Arts and subsequently study composition at Simon Fraser University where, during his studies, He was awarded the “R. Murray Schafer Soundscape Award”. As Chris grew as a musician, he turned to composition as an outlet for creativity. As he tried to expand his pallet and create his own sounds to express something more unique to the world.

In addition to his experience studying composition, Chris has studied formal classical performance with Canada’s Royal Conservatory of Music. As a performer and composer, Chris has had a varied musical career. His study of the guitar also includes more than a decade of experience teaching students.
